Bitget Card
Bitcoin-Check: this program is ranked in our database but not fully listed — this page answers whether it is a real bitcoin card and what happens to your BTC.
The bitcoin flow
Source note
Wallet Card: top up from the self-custody Bitget Wallet with mainstream tokens/memecoins; a user-documented bug (Jul 2026) swallowed Solana-network USDT top-ups (on-chain success, $0 card balance, manual refund 'no confirmed timeline') - prefer confirmed-supported funding routes
The honest answer
Overview
The Bitget Card is not a real bitcoin card in the self-custodial sense - bitcoin must be converted within the Bitget exchange to top up the card. It’s a custodial Mastercard debit card issued by Bitget, a derivatives exchange founded in 2018, now tied to the self-custody Bitget Wallet for new applicants. The card is for users already in the Bitget ecosystem who want to spend crypto via conversion, with rewards in BTC or other assets. Bitcoin is sold during conversion to fund the card, but the exact timing is undocumented.
Fees in practice
There are no issuance or monthly fees, and Bitget claims no profit on FX spreads, saying rates “closely match Google live rates.” However, a 1% FX fee is reported by CoinCodeCap (Sep 2026), and top-up or conversion fees exist but are not published. ATM withdrawals are limited to $10,000 per day, though ATM fees are not specified. For a EUR 100 load: assuming a 1% FX fee, that’s EUR 1, plus any undocumented conversion or top-up costs. The advertised 2 - 3% “assetback” is meant to offset these fees, but standard charges apply once the allowance is exceeded.
Verdict
Avoid if you want direct bitcoin control or transparency in conversion timing. The Bitget Card suits existing Bitget users in APAC, EEA, or LATAM who accept custodial risk and want rewards in BTC or alternative assets. Proceed with caution due to unresolved backend bugs and inconsistent issuer information.
The bitcoin flow
You cannot load bitcoin directly onto the Bitget Card. Instead, you must convert BTC (or other supported assets like ETH or USDT) into fiat within the Bitget Wallet interface to top up the card. The exact moment your bitcoin is sold - whether at load or at spend - is not documented, so the tax event timing is unclear. At the point of spending, the card draws from a fiat balance. Lightning Network top-ups are not supported. There is no minimum top-up amount documented, but a user-reported bug in July 2026 caused Solana-based USDT top-ups to fail silently, suggesting caution with less common chains.
Rewards
The Bitget Card offers a 2% base “assetback” reward, rising to 3% after hitting a monthly spending threshold ($200 - $400). You can choose to receive rewards in BTC, gold, tokenized stocks (like NVIDIA or Tesla), or USDC, with one change allowed per month. These rewards are advertised as covering typical top-up and conversion fees. However, rewards in BTC expose you to bitcoin’s price volatility until you sell.
Custody & risk
Your funds are held in a custodial account managed by Bitget, which operates under a Seychelles-based group with regional entities. The card is now issued through Bitget Wallet, but issuer identity is inconsistent - cited as both DCS Card Centre Singapore and ReapPay Europe Limited. A July 2026 incident involved a user’s Solana USDT top-up succeeding on-chain but not crediting the card, with support offering a manual refund “with no confirmed timeline.” AI support initially fabricated transaction data. Data quality is rated “reported,” not verified, so a small test load is advised before trusting larger amounts.

- WARNING: Bitget Wallet Card has a critical backend bug swallowing Solana USDT deposits (Technical Proof inside) SCAM
Detailed technical complaint: a 255.67 USDT card top-up over Solana succeeded on-chain but the card balance stayed $0 (ledger said 'Success', payment wallet said 'Failed'). The AI assistant fabricated a transaction history blaming the user; a human agent located the tx on-chain, then support invoked a 'risk assessment' template and promised a manual refund with 'no confirmed timeline', passing blame to card supplier DCS Card Centre (Singapore). A 12.91 USDT control test reproduced the bug. Same user x-posted to r/bitget, r/solana, r/BitgetReddit - counted once.
