What is stored

Page requests are counted as anonymous first-party visit counts. For each HTML page view we store: the page path, a visitor identifier hashed from your IP address with a server-side secret salt (not reversible without the salt, which never leaves the server), the response status, browser family, operating system family and device type parsed from your browser's user-agent string, the page language your browser sends, and the host and truncated URL of the referrer you came from (used only to classify traffic as search / social / referral). The identifier stays stable until the salt is deliberately rotated - a rotation invalidates all previous identifiers, so history cannot be re-linked. When you leave a page, the page reports anonymously how long it was visible and your viewport size (width x height in pixels) - this beacon carries no identifier of its own. Counts are used to operate the site and pruned automatically after a year.

Outbound links

Outbound links to card providers go through a redirect that counts the click anonymously (no personal data, no cross-site identifiers) and sends no referrer.
